Why Families Worldwide Choose Abobakr Academy

Abobakr Academy teaches Quran and Arabic online to Muslim families who did not grow up speaking Arabic.

Most of our students live in the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia. Many of the parents who contact us cannot read Arabic themselves, and that is a normal place to start. Our tutors are qualified, many of them trained at Al-Azhar.

Some students begin with Noorani Qaida and the alphabet, some want their Tajweed corrected, and many are children whose parents want a teacher they can trust. Each one goes at their own pace, at times that fit your week. Most learn one to one; siblings or a small group can share a session if you prefer.

Native Arabic-Speaking Tutors

All our teachers are native Arabic speakers, Quran Huffaz, and certified educators with years of online teaching experience.

Lessons at Your Times

Book classes 7 days a week, morning to late evening. Our global timetable fits students in USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond.

Online Classes for all ages

From a four-year-old meeting the Arabic letters for the first time to an adult who has put this off for twenty years, there is a starting point here. Children begin with Noorani Qaida and short surahs. Older students move on to fluent reading, Tajweed applied out loud, and Hifz with a real revision plan. Adults can add Arabic, or Islamic Studies in aqeedah, fiqh and seerah.

Support any day of the week

Students and parents can reach us any day of the week on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger or Snapchat.
With our guidance and support, success is within reach; no matter where you're starting from or where you'd like to go.

Why Choose Our Online Private Tutors?

Lessons are built around one student rather than a syllabus. Most learn one to one, and siblings or a small group are arranged when families ask. We teach Quran and Arabic to non-Arabs specifically, which is a different job from teaching children who already speak the language.

Taught by Qualified Tutors, Many Al-Azhar Trained

Tutors Matched to the Student

Every tutor here is a native Arabic speaker certified to teach Quran with Ijazah, including Al-Azhar trained teachers. They work one-to-one with children as young as four and with adults returning to the Quran after decades away, adjusting each lesson to the student in front of them. Families who would rather have a female tutor can ask for one, in every subject. Classes run in US, UK, Canadian and Australian time zones, so an after-school slot in New Jersey or a weekend morning in London is easy to arrange.

How Our Online Quran Lessons Work

Learning the Quran is not only an academic exercise, and the teaching here is built around that. Every tutor is vetted for knowledge of Tajweed and the Quranic sciences, and also for whether they can teach with patience and explain the same point a second and a third way.

A course follows the same path whoever you are:

1. Assessment: your level is worked out in the first trial class, before any plan is written.
2. A plan you can see: your tutor sets out a route based on what you are actually after, whether that is Hifz, an Ijazah in Tajweed, or simply reading the script without stopping.
3. Live lessons: classes run live on Zoom or Google Meet, one to one or in a small group, with correction as you recite rather than notes sent afterwards.
4. A tutor who stays: the same teacher throughout, keeping a record of what has been covered, so no week starts from scratch.
5. Rescheduling: lessons can be moved with two hours notice. A weekly subscription includes one cancellation a month, and twice-weekly lessons in the same subject include two.

Who Learns With Us

Students here range from four-year-olds meeting the Arabic alphabet for the first time to adults working towards full memorisation with a teacher who holds Ijazah. Most families are in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and in most of those homes nobody speaks Arabic.

That shapes how we teach. If nobody at home reads Arabic, you cannot check the recitation yourself, so progress has to be made visible some other way. Every student keeps the same tutor rather than rotating through whoever is free, and that tutor keeps a record of what has been covered and says plainly where the student is stuck.

Lessons run one to one or in a small group if you ask, and the rates are published on the site rather than quoted on request.

Frequently Asked Questions about Abobakr Academy

What is Abobakr Academy?

An online school teaching Quran, Tajweed, Arabic and Islamic Studies in live lessons, one to one or in a small group. Most of our families are in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and in most of those homes nobody speaks Arabic. Students range from four-year-old beginners to adults.

Is there an online academy that teaches Quran?

Yes. Abobakr Academy teaches reading, Tajweed, Hifz and Arabic online, in live lessons with a tutor, for children from age four and for adults. The first lesson is free.

Is there an online Quran academy in the USA?

Abobakr Academy teaches families across the United States online, with lessons seven days a week from morning to late evening in US time zones. There is nowhere to travel to: the tutor joins you on a tablet or computer.

How do I book a first class?

Book a trial class through the website or on WhatsApp. You are matched with a tutor based on your level and what you want to work towards, and the level is assessed in that first session before any plan is written. The first class is free.

Do you teach young children?

Yes, from age four. Lessons for young children run shorter and lean on repetition, colourful Qaida work and frequent short sessions rather than long ones. Each child keeps the same tutor rather than rotating through whoever is free.

Do you offer Ijazah certification?

Yes. We run a Tajweed Ijazah pathway. An Ijazah is permission to teach, given only after a student has recited the entire Quran to a teacher who holds one, and it is the credential that matters most for Tajweed because Tajweed is passed on by ear rather than from a book.

What time zones do you teach in?

Lessons run seven days a week, from morning to late evening, across United States, United Kingdom, Canadian and Australian time zones. A lesson can be moved with two hours notice, and a weekly subscription includes one cancellation a month.

How much does an online Quran academy cost per month?

Ours costs $34 to $84 a month, depending on how many hours you book. The rate falls from 9.50 US dollars an hour to 7.00 as monthly hours rise, and families enrolling more than one child get 10 percent off. The full plan table is on our pricing page.
